I made this amv in 2 days for the fantasy movie's tournoi d'amv online...
The topic of this amv is the story of the film and in particular of the two
main characters, it's a sentimental story and I love it ^^

this is one of my first amvs, edited with vegas. I did it for my first two
contests on some forums, and in this amv I wanted to tell the story about Chise
and her boyfriend in the anime Saikano.

I made this amv for the 4th Iron Chef of the soul's team. We had 24 hours to
edit this, and I won the contest. )
This video is basically made around Haruhi and Tamaki singing along the song,
like they are in a musical. I also tried to organize the images with various
zooms, transitions and mask, so that I could follow well both melody and rithm.
Special thanks to mirkosp that helped me with the encode and to Niwa Kun for
helping me out finding the idea.

Here's my latest amv. Well, actually that's just saying, as 999 Technology
was my entry for my match vs my friend Dn@ (head of the soul's team) at the
"Online Tournament of AMVs by Fantasy Movies"
. After 2 months of wait, we had the results and I won the match, so that
now I'm in the next round.
Now, that aside, let's talk about the video itself: in 999T I had fun making
effects that could link a scene to another, so various screens of pale
cocoon were edited to better change the scenes to amazing nuts, along with
various zooms, transition etc...
Actually, as I don't like the song, that was imposed, I don't like very much
this amv neither... but I hope that you'll enjoy it anyway.
The actual name of the artist is The Dø, but I made a mistake in the video
entry.

Globally a good video, edited and with a good atmosphere. Sadly, some of the

I kept this video secret for an entire summer, but I can finally release it!
Well, there's not much to say, I edited this for the "tournoi online fantasy
movie" and I won the match.
The idea for this video came to my mind reading to the lyric of the song
that was given to me (« Brianstorm » by the Artic Monkeys), I instantly
thought about doing a chara profile for Light, but the problem was that I
didn't have a good enough amount of scenes with movement in them but the
song needed action, and I found it in Animatrix. But how could I link two
animes together? So I thought about describing in my video a new world in
another time, where Light is the watcher in 3rd person. From here the title
"Above the new world" or in Italian "Al di sopra del nuovo mondo".
Following this story line I structured my video, in fact in the first 13
seconds I have shown some of the important moments in Light's life, then
there's spatio-temporal tunnel that brings to the new world, and for the
rest of the video there always is light that watches the various situations
and sings the words of the lyric.
"Above the new world" is a video that satisfacted me and I hope you'll like
it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Questo video lo iniziai circa un anno e mezzo, ma a causa di impegni e poca
voglia sono riuscito a finirlo solo in questi giorni. Infatti è stato quasi
un travaglio l'editing discontinuo con mesi e mesi di pause di
riflessioni... ma finalmente l'ho finito!
Fin dall'inizio per "Faces" decisi di utilizzare un montaggio semplice ed
intuitivo, che puntasse soprattutto al flow delle immagini rispetto ai vari
suoni della musica, e così anche il tema.
Il tema del video infatti è una semplice estremizzazione del personaggio di
Black e del suo fantasma, spesso infatti utilizzo effetti più marcati solo
per sottolineare la presenza del suo alterego che lo osserva alle sue
spalle.
Allo stesso tempo però ho seguito inoltre le cronache già raccontate nel
film, per cui anche nel mio video vedrete un crescendo delle situazioni
altro personaggio importante sarà White il fratellino di Black che, come nel
film, rappresenterà la sua ancora di salvezza in diversi momenti, certe
volte persino metaforicamente.
Tutto questo viene legato assieme dalla canzone "Dig" degli Incubus di cui
le parole raccontano ogni immagine e situazione che vedrete.
Faces, essendo per lo più un chara profile, non punta le sue carte
sull'originalità del tema, ciò che ho voluto esprimere in questo video è
soltanto un tributo ad un film che a mio parere può essere definito arte,
per cui il lavoro più duro è stata la scelta delle scene più belle, più
adatte al testo e all'enfatizzazione del tema.
Spero che vi piaccia o almeno vi incuriosisca fino a spingervi alla visione
del film.

Ho basato questo trailer su parole che illustrano gli elementi chiave
dell'anime per incuriosire maggiormente lo spettatore, il lettering l'ho
realizzato con after effects usando un'animazione che ricordi le note del
pianoforte della traccia sotto.
Le restrizioni erano 30 secondi massimo di promo per una serie televisiva a
nostra scelta e poi la restrizione mia di usare solo il primo episodio.
